ArborEXPO 2026
At KDF Tree, we’re always looking for ways to sharpen our skills, stay ahead of industry trends, and bring the very best practices back to our customers here in Torrington, CT. That’s why we were proud to attend ArborEXPO™ 2026 this week, one of the premier events in the tree care industry.
Held at the Eastern States Exposition—better known as “The Big E”—in West Springfield, Massachusetts, ArborEXPO brings together arborists, tree care companies, utility professionals, and urban forestry experts from across the country. This annual event is designed specifically for professionals like us who work in the field every day and are committed to improving safety, efficiency, and tree health.
Hands-on Learning Experience
ArborEXPO isn’t just a conference; it’s a hands-on learning experience. The event features a large indoor and outdoor trade show with over 100 exhibitors, live equipment demonstrations, and opportunities to test new tools and technologies firsthand. For a working tree company, that kind of real-world exposure is invaluable.
On March 27, the agenda was packed with high-level educational sessions and workshops. One of the standout offerings was a full-day training session on advanced tree pruning techniques and communication, focusing on standardized practices aligned with ANSI A300 guidelines. Another major workshop focused on grapple saw safety, combining classroom instruction with hands-on field experience—critical for improving both productivity and jobsite safety.
Safety is a Major Theme at ArborEXPO 2026
Safety remained a major theme throughout the day. Sessions covered everything from personal fall protection systems for climbers to best practices for ground crews working around cranes. These are exactly the types of topics that directly impact how we operate on job sites here in Connecticut.
Beyond technical skills, ArborEXPO also offered business-focused education, including workshops designed to help tree companies grow, improve communication, and operate more efficiently. And of course, the event wrapped up with the exciting ArborSPORTS™ competitions, where top professionals demonstrated their skills in a simulated work zone—showcasing both safety and precision in action.
To Better Serve Our Customers
For us at KDF Tree, attending ArborEXPO is about more than just learning; it’s about bringing that knowledge home. Every new technique, safety improvement, and piece of equipment we explore helps us better serve our customers. Whether it’s safer pruning, more efficient removals, or improved communication on your property, events like this directly benefit you.
If you see our crews out working around Torrington, know that we’re not just doing the job—we’re applying the latest industry standards and training to do it right.
